Power of Your Enduring Guardian

Enduring guardianship is a legal document that gives someone you trust the power to look after your health and welfare if you are unable to because of an age-related disease or an illness, or an accident. Your Enduring Guardian may make decisions such as where you live, what services are provided to you at home and what medical treatment you receive.

Leyden Legal was established in 1950s, providing a range of legal services to our community. We have extensive experience in estate planning and guardianship issues and being local we can offer a family friendly approach to what can at times be a stressful and challenging for families.

About Enduring Guardianship

Enduring Guardianship will only come into effect if or when you lose capacity to make decisions for yourself and will only be effective during the period of incapacity, therefore, it may never be needed. However, it is a good way to plan for the future, particularly for unforeseen situations

An Enduring Guardian can be your friend or a family member who is older than 18.

What we do for you

Our estate experts at Leyden Legal will guide you through the drafting of a will, preparing health care and power of attorney directives, living trusts, tax and insurance plans and matters regarding the guardianship of your dependants.  Appointing an Enduring Guardian will give you a sense of security knowing that if anything happens everything is in place and we will be there to support your family.
